Hi,
Thanks for stopping by.

I thought Id share some more of my jewellery making.
Im really fond of the leather and bead kind of natural look.
This one is white leather, paper beads and natural wood spacer beads.

Never lose your wine glass again
  Leather and glass

Its quite therapeutic stringing beads and coming up with original designs. Colour combinations and beads types are endless.
Looking forward to some markets in the finer weather.

Thanks again for stopping by.
I hope your week is just amazing.

Trying new things

Hello, and thanks for stopping by

Ive been trying a few new things lately where craft is concerned, gosh the research is so time consuming!
Many loooooong years ago I taught myself Macrame, well, to my delight, its made a huge comeback!! My house is currently being filled with it !
I have plant hangers in both bathrooms and the separate wc that hold cute little bowls with my reed diffusers and some fake greenery  to hide the jars.

I think they're so much better than just a jar with reeds sitting around.
The other two (which I've not photographed yet) are a lovely soft grey with gorgeous pink bowls.

Then I got a bit rope knotting happy and decided to make a wall hanging for my spare room.
Next on my list was to find a way to use up all my scraps of DSP from my paper crafting. So..... I was looking around youtube one afternoon and discovered paper bead making! so......lol....off I went and cut loads of strips of paper, making sure they tapered, and began. Naturally the first few dozen were pretty awful, but now I have the hang of it, I am off and running.  I managed to make a drying rack, courtesy of Julie Bolduc, I use wood hardener from bunnings to harden the beads, and I use vibrance glaze, courtesy of Janice Mae, however, this product is only available from USA and the postage is insane, I was lucky enough to find it in Queensland where I also found out she is not importing any more due to the cost. search ongoing for a new glaze.  Oh, and the bead cores I got from eBay.

Thanks so much for viewing my blog, and as I progress I'll post some tutorials as I now have a better set up with my camera. so many things that take so much time......
Have a gorgeous weekend.

Sample cards using the Daisy Delight bundle

Here are a couple of cards I made using the flowers from the tutorial.

altered Daisy punch flower tutorial.

Hi and thanks for stopping by.
I love making flowers, it takes me back to my cake decorating days, and they add such interest and dimension to any project.

For this flower I used all Stampin' Up! products.
Delightful Daisy stamp set
Daisy punch
Very Vanilla card stock
Current In colour inks
Sahara Sand ink.

Firstly, on very vanilla card stock, stamp 6 images of the Daisy in Sahara sand. (6 per flower)
Punch them out, flip them over and stamp on the reverse side (very easy using our photo polymer stamps)
Sponge the tips in desired colour.
Next, using your scoring tool (stylus) press quite firmly from the tip of the flower petals, drag the stylus to the centre of the flower. This will cause the petals to curl. the harder you press the more they curl.

Next, squish the petals slightly to make a kind of 'bud'
Do the same thing to the following 4 punched flowers WITHOUT the squishing part. Adhere each one (I used hot glue) to the base, ensuring you alternate the petals.
For the final flower, do the same, only afterwards, turn it over and press in the centre. This will give you a kind of 'spider'. Adhere this to the base of your flower. 'fluff' the petals as much or as little as you like.
If you'd like a closed bud in the centre, add a TINY drop of tombow (liquid glue) to the very tip of some of the petals and hold them closed until they dry.

I hope this tutorial has been helpful,
Thanks for viewing and have an amazing day.

AN APOLOGY

Hi again
I need to apologise or the previous post.....
I have no idea why my video won't play and I can't seem to fix it.

If you'd like to see the project please see my FB page by clicking on the link at the side.

Again, very sorry

Have a great day.

Something different

Hi, and thanks for stopping by.
Not had an overly easy week, so decided to lose myself in something different for me.
A first in creating a special occasion folio AND a first video....albeit one handed lol

Ive used several different tutorials to help me make this, there are loads out there. One was just for creating the spine, another for the pages, another for the waterfall photos sections, another for the pockets....although they were extremely easy.

Anyway, I hope this encourages you to make one yourself.

The quietness

As I sit here by my waterside home, watching the boats head out for the days recreation, Ive been contemplating how to use my craft for charity.
Now, I know i can't help everyone, however wonderful that would be, but, I think, if everyone did a little often, what a difference could be made to those struggling.
My thought is a small one, but could have a positive effect on many.
Im going to make birthday and Christmas cards for the Smith Family so they can be distributed to children and adults, elderly and sick, to bring just a little positivity into their day, and now that someone out here is thinking of them.
My daughter is sponsoring a child through Smith Family so she can go to normal school, have a normal uniform and a full tummy when she goes. How amazing.

If there are any crafters out there reading this who would also like to come on board, please contact me via the above button or my Facebook site, alternatively, leave a comment here.

Hi and thanks for stopping by.
So hot here at the moment and my candles don't like it at all, neither do I really, much prefer cooler weather.

So, my new logo is here! Im so happy with it, simple and to the point.

I also have a new craft space! twice the size as before, loads of room for classes and everything has its place. Thanks to my Steph for having a slight OCD (joke) so everything fitted in its spot perfectly.

My latest pour is Angelic Whispers, Black Raspberry and Vanilla and Chanel no. 5
all my fragrances come in 3 candle sizes, melts and reed diffusers.

reeds are $25  melts are 3 packs for $20 candles are $8, $15 and $20 with occasional specialty jars for $15
I love walking into my home and it smells so fresh and just cleaned. Melts are lovely gentle scents that permeate so well.

Have a great day

Pay Pal is coming

Hi
its been a while. packing to move house and filling orders keeps me lovely and busy.

I have some lovely boxes with candles, for, mothers day, valentines day, birthdays etc.
and am now producing beautiful 'in memorium' candles also.
A  personalised verse, name, dates etc will be on the candle container. These  will be fragranced in Angelic Whispers.....appropriate me thinks.  I will burn one for my own son on his birthday and anniversary. The heart never loses that ache.

I am also setting up  Pay Pal for online orders. I will still offer direct deposit, however will not ship until payment is cleared.

A sneak peek at part of an order filled this week.

Have a lovely week and thanks for stopping by.

New Fragrance

Hi and thanks for dropping by.
I have a couple of new pots and fragrances this month..

The Gold pot contains the stunning and authentic Chanel fragrance, whilst the marbled ceramic one contains the delicious Mediterranean Basil and Cucumber fragrance. YUMM!

The larger pots are $15 each and the cute flower pots are $8
